Last night, we had our usual rounds of "I'm not tired", "I'm scared", "I can't stop thinking about monsters", etc. I was putting Andrew to bed in his room, when I overheard Josie. She was reading to Maddy, "I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, I Lord make me dwell in safety." Psalm 4:8. I had just shared that verse with them (heard it at prayer meeting & thought it perfect for a nightime verse). But when I left the girls room, Josie kept reading it to her. Along w/ Psalm 23:4 "...I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."
I guess it's moment like these that make me feel like I'm doing something right as a mother.
